Astoria Police Seek Information

On April 20, 2012 Astoria Police received a report of a burglary in the 1100 block of Harrison. The victim reported that had occurred between a narrow window of time on April 14, 2012.

The burglary was delayed in being reported because of the victims serious illness. When the 62 year old victim and her sister returned home on April 14, they discovered that the garage door was open and they noticed that there were pry marks on the exterior doors. Taken from the house were wedding and anniversary rings as well as other jewelry, tools, a generator, and a very distinctive, hand made rocking horse. The rocking horse was made by a relative who is now deceased. Total loss is over $10,000.

Astoria Police are looking for information about the location of the stolen items. Many of the items stolen have very sentimental value. If anyone has information related to the theft of the items please contact Officer Ryan Sisley at 503.325.4411 or at rsisley@astoria.or.us
